Creating Stories People Remember
Visual storytelling, creative strategy, design, multimedia, and communication shaped by more than 25 years of helping people experience information differently.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by stories.
Long before I understood design, branding, or marketing, I was trying to understand people.
As a kid, I was fascinated by television shows, movies, cartoons, music, and even old radio dramas. While everyone else seemed to be enjoying the entertainment, I found myself wondering what made the characters feel real. What made them happy? What did they struggle with? Why did certain moments stay with us long after the credits rolled?
I was always searching for the lesson hidden inside the story.
Somewhere along the way, I realized that the stories I loved weren’t really about spaceships, superheroes, or fictional places at all. They were about the human condition—friendship, hope, fear, courage, loss, and redemption—wrapped in worlds that invited us to see ourselves.
Music had the same effect on me. A single melody could create anticipation, joy, or sadness before a single word was spoken. Long before I ever worked in communications, I was discovering that feeling often comes before meaning.
One of my favorite childhood memories was growing up near the Uplands Armed Forces Base in Ottawa, beside the old Airport Drive-in. During the summer, we’d sneak under the fence, turn up the speaker on the post, and watch movies under the stars. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t simply watching stories.
I was studying them.
Years later, that curiosity evolved into a career spanning more than twenty-five years in design, multimedia, communications, film and television, photography, animation, eLearning, and creative strategy. The tools changed, but the question never did:
Why do some experiences stay with us while others are forgotten?
That question has shaped every project I’ve worked on, whether developing educational resources for national organizations, creating campaigns for community initiatives, designing visual identities, producing media, or helping businesses communicate more effectively.
Today, I believe the most memorable brands don’t simply tell better stories.
They create experiences that people remember and want to share.
That’s why my work has never been just about design.
It’s about understanding people.
Because great design gets attention.
Great storytelling creates connection.
And the experiences we create together become the stories others tell long after we’ve left the room.
What I Bring
What I Believe
Great storytelling is not about exaggeration. It is about alignment.
The strongest brands don’t simply tell impressive stories. They create experiences that make those stories believable.
That belief shapes how I approach every project, whether I’m designing a website, producing visual content, developing a message, or helping an organization see its business through fresh eyes.
25+ Years of Experience
More than two decades of solving communication challenges through design, multimedia, storytelling, and strategy.
Strategic Thinking
Looking beyond individual deliverables to understand the entire customer journey and the story it communicates.
Human-Centered Design
Every decision begins with one question: What should people think, feel, and do after this experience?
LET’S CREATE SOMETHING
PEOPLE REMEMBER.
Whether you’re building a brand, launching a campaign, or telling a complex story, let’s create something people remember and worth sharing with others.
